Durante mayo, los fuegos forestales suscitados en el estado de Chihuahua, en la sierra Tarahumara afectaron las localidades de Bocoyna, Carichí, Temósachic, Guadalupe y Calvo, Guazapares, Maguarichi, Guerrero, Guachochi, y Ocampo; entre otras.
