Careers for veterans
Vets add value
We recognize that military veterans bring many transferrable skills to civilian employers. Skills such as discipline, reliability, adaptability, initiative, courage, problem-solving, and leadership make a valuable contribution to our business. We offer flexibility to employees who continue to serve in military roles, including military leave when they need time away from work for their duties.
We also recognize that veterans sometimes need support in their civilian lives. As part of our commitment to building strong communities, we offer assistance to veterans, both directly and indirectly, through a number of charitable organizations and local programs such as:
- In Canada, we support National Service Dogs, Veterans Association Food Bank of Calgary, Anishinabek Nation Seventh Generation Charities Annual Veterans Memorial, and Wounded Warriors Canada.
- In the U.S., we support Dress for Success Houston (Veteran’s Program), Paws4People, West Virginia Gold Star Mothers, Vietnam Veterans of America NE SD Chapter 1054, Disabled American Veterans Milbank SD Chapter 19, Veterans of Foreign Wars National Home for Children, Umonhon Veterans Association, and Warriors and Quiet Waters Foundation
