TransCanada Corporation today announced that it has successfully completed its second binding expansion capacity Open Season at the Empress/McNeill Export Delivery Point on its NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. (NGTL) System in 2018. NGTL offered 280 million cubic feet per day of firm service,targeted to commence in November 2021. The Open Season closed on March 15, 2018, and was oversubscribed, with an average awarded contract term of approximately 22 years.

TransCanada Corporation announced today that it will move forward with a proposed $140-million expansion of its NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. (NGTL) System following the successful completion in March of an expansion capacity open season for incremental firm export delivery service at the Empress/McNeill Export Delivery Point.

NGTL GP is proposing to decommission 11 laterals or loops and one co-located meter station on the NGTL System as these assets are no longer required to meet customer demand.

NGTL GP is proposing to safely abandon 33 meter stations and 37 laterals, loops or producer tie-ins on the NGTL System as these assets are no longer required for transmission services.

NGTL GP is proposing to permanently cease operations at 14 lateral pipelines or loops on the NGTL System within Alberta as these facilities are no longer necessary to provide service to customers.
