The orphanage in Haiti may be thousands of miles away from TC Energy’s Beiseker compressor station in Alberta, but there is now a very direct link between these two places. Thanks to a successful partnership between Darcy Bye, an Environmental Specialist at TC Energy, and Dr. Roger Saint-Fort, an Environmental Chemist at Mount Royal University, sustainable groundwater remediation technology that Roger developed for the compressor station has been adapted to provide potable water for approximately 500 children at a Haitian orphanage.

For members of TransCanada’s U.S. gas operations construction service's crew, it was supposed to be a routine maintenance project. Gary Thornburg and his crew made up of Bill Donner, Karl Clark and Brett Smith were dispatched just south of Bloomington, Indiana, where they would be working on a portion of the ANR pipeline.

On Nov. 11, we will pause to recognize Veterans Day in the U.S. and Remembrance Day in Canada in honour and memory of those who’ve served and sacrificed for our freedom. Houston, our U.S. headquarters and home to more than 1,000 of our people, was severely impacted by the historic storm that hit much of the U.S. The storm brought unprecedented record freezing temperatures that shut down infrastructure providing energy to Texas. Millions found themselves without power or heating for up to several days and experienced food and supply shortages. Many were left without water, and when they did regain access, they had to adhere to a water boil notice across the city.
