TC Energy is proposing to construct and operate multiple natural gas pipeline and compressor unit additions as part of the 2021 NGTL System Expansion Project in Alberta.

Spanning more than 420 km (261 miles) from Tula, Hidalgo, and ends in Villa de Reyes, San Luis Potosí, the completed Villa de Reyes Pipeline will transport natural gas to power generation facilities in Central Mexico. The pipeline will ensure a stable source of energy for the region and help decrease reliance on less environmentally friendly methods of power generation.

At a length of 86 miles (138 km), the North Baja Pipeline System delivers West Texan and Rocky Mountain natural gas from Arizona to California and Mexico. TC Energy operates North Baja Pipeline System and effectively owns 26.8 percent of the pipeline through its interest in TC PipeLines, LP.

Carseland Cogeneration Plant has been providing Alberta with up to 95 megawatts of electricity from its industrial cogeneration plant in Carseland, Alberta. It supplies power to Nutrien’s Carseland Nitrogen Operation as well as needed support for the Southern Alberta electrical grid.

2024 CALGARY, Alberta, March 04, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — News Release – TC Energy Corporation (TSX, NYSE: TRP) (TC Energy or the Company) and its partner Northern New England Investment Company, Inc., a subsidiary of Énergir L.P. (Énergir), have entered into a purchase and sale agreement to sell Portland Natural Gas Transmission System (PNGTS) to BlackRock, through a fund managed by its Diversified Infrastructure business, and investment funds managed by Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners (the Buyer), for a gross purchase price of US$1.14 billion, which includes the assumption of US$250 million of outstanding Senior Notes held at PNGTS. This transaction implies a valuation of approximately 11.0 times reported 2023 comparable EBITDA.
