The North Corridor Expansion Project in northwestern Alberta expanded pipeline capacity for the transportation of natural gas from the Peace River Project Area (PRPA) to growing markets located in northeastern Alberta. The Project included three pipeline components and one compressor station unit addition.

The Towerbirch pipeline project will include 55 km of 36-inch pipeline paralleling the existing NGTL Groundbirch Mainline, along with new meter stations, and expansion of one meter station. The majority of this projects scope will be within British Comumbia, with only a portion in Alberta.
NGTL GP is proposing to permanently cease operations at 34 meter stations and 27 lateral pipelines, loops and/or producer tie-ins on the NGTL System within Alberta as these facilities are no longer necessary to provide service to customers.
