TC Energy’s portfolio of high-quality, long-life energy infrastructure assets now includes investments in seven power generation facilities with a combined generating capacity of approximately 4,200 megawatts (MW) – enough to power more than 4 million homes. Approximately 75 per cent of our power capacity is emission-less and we are leaders in the development and operation of high-efficiency, natural gas-fired generating stations.

Alberta Power Marketing
In total, TC Energy manages, operates and markets close to 450 megawatts (MW) of electricity in the Alberta. TC Energy is directly involved in all facets of the Alberta power market with expertise in power marketing and trading, generation development, retail services (billing and load settlement) and regulatory issues.

Bécancour Cogeneration Plant
The Bécancour Power Plant is a 550 MW cogeneration facility located in Bécancour, Quebec. It can supply electricity to Hydro-Québec Distribution to meet electricity demands in the province of Québec and provides a source of steam for a neighbouring company in the industrial park.

Bruce Power
With a history of safe nuclear generation dating to 1967, Bruce Power currently supplies roughly 30% of Ontario’s electricity. In 2015, the plant entered into a long-term contract with the Provincial government extending its life to 2064, ensuring a stable source of carbon-free electricity for decades.

Carseland Cogeneration Plant
Carseland Cogeneration Plant has been providing Alberta with up to 95 megawatts of electricity from its industrial cogeneration plant in Carseland, Alberta. It supplies power to Nutrien’s Carseland Nitrogen Operation as well as needed support for the Southern Alberta electrical grid.

With more than 30 storage locations in four states, Columbia Gas Transmission Storage has enough capacity to handle almost 630 billion cubic feet of natural gas.

Crossfield Gas Storage
Crossfield Gas Storage is located 50 km (31 miles) north of Calgary, Alta, holds 68 bcf (billion cubic feet) of natural gas. A "depleted underground reservoir" facility, gas is stored in what was originally a naturally occurring gas reservoir.

TC Energy’s Edson Gas Storage holds up to 50 bcf (billion cubic feet) of natural gas for delivery throughout Alberta. This facility is located 32 km (20 miles) NW of Edson, Alta.
