TC Energy Corporation announced today that it has approved two new expansion projects totaling $1.3 billion on its wholly-owned natural gas pipeline systems. The $0.9 billion 2023 NGTL Intra-Basin System Expansion will deliver natural gas from the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (WCSB) to markets within Alberta on the NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. (NGTL) System, while the US$0.3 billion Alberta XPress project will see the expansion of the ANR Pipeline (ANR) to provide a seamless path for Canadian production to access growing LNG export and other markets along the U.S. Gulf Coast.

The Towerbirch pipeline project will include 55 km of 36-inch pipeline paralleling the existing NGTL Groundbirch Mainline, along with new meter stations, and expansion of one meter station. The majority of this projects scope will be within British Comumbia, with only a portion in Alberta.

In accordance with Condition 5 of Order XG-N081-030-2017 for the Project issued by the National Energy Board (Board or NEB) on December 28, 2017, NGTL is posting the Commitment Tracking Table No. 3 for the Sundre Crossover Project. The reporting period for this submission is April 6, 2018 to July 5, 2018.
