This summer saw the first-ever virtual session launch of the Avatar program, designed by Beaver Drilling Ltd., the Young Pipeliners Association of Canada (YPAC) and the University of Calgary. The program, which is a collaborative networking and leadership development forum, encourages participants to design innovative solutions for the future of the energy industry.
With the recently announced $100 million in funding from provincial and federal governments to clean up inactive wells in Indigenous communities in Alberta, there’s a lot of work to be done. To support Indigenous participation and accessibility to this funding TC Energy is supporting the Inactive Wellsite Abandonment and Reclamation Training to Employment program. This initiative is a partnership with the Indian Resource Council, Alberta Common Ground Alliance (ABCGA – now administered by Alberta One-Call Corporation), Kainaiwa Resources Inc, Global and Kettle River to help Indigenous members from Alberta obtain industry training for work placement opportunities
TC Energy Corporation today announced Russ Girling’s retirement as President and Chief Executive Officer and from its Board of Directors effective December 31, 2020. François Poirier, currently Chief Operating Officer, President, Power & Storage and Mexico, will succeed Mr. Girling as President and Chief Executive Officer and will join the Board January 1, 2021.
