The 4,324-kilometre (2,687-mile) Keystone Pipeline System plays a key role in connecting Alberta crude oil supplies to U.S. refining markets in Illinois, Oklahoma and Texas, as well as connecting U.S. crude oil supplies from the Cushing, Okla., hub to refining markets in the U.S. Gulf Coast through our Marketlink Pipeline System.

Washington, D.C. – TC Energy President and CEO François Poirier released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed, with bipartisan support, H.R. 1, the Lower Energy Costs Act.  

NGTL GP is proposing to permanently cease operations at 14 lateral pipelines or loops on the NGTL System within Alberta as these facilities are no longer necessary to provide service to customers.

Solar energy to power TC Energy renewable natural gas (RNG) interconnects – meter stations that measure the amount of gas being transported – is helping the company to work towards our net-zero commitment while also enabling the company to sell renewable energy to the local utility.
