Power Market Update — March 2022

Using natural gas is both a clever idea and a good way to accomplish everything from heating our homes and cooking meals, to generating electricity.

The Towerbirch pipeline project will include 55 km of 36-inch pipeline paralleling the existing NGTL Groundbirch Mainline, along with new meter stations, and expansion of one meter station. The majority of this projects scope will be within British Comumbia, with only a portion in Alberta.

Coastal GasLink will help deliver cleaner energy to the world by moving natural gas to the LNG Canada facility.

Since 2001, Carseland has been providing Alberta with up to 95 megawatts of electricity from its industrial cogeneration plant located in Carseland, Alta., at Agrium’s Carseland Nitrogen Operation. View the location map.

This week, TC Energy completed in-creek recovery of the released volume and continues progressing restoration activities.
