NGTL is proposing to permanently cease operations at 21 laterals and three meter stations on the NGTL System within Alberta as these facilities are no longer necessary to provide service to customers. Since these facilities are co-located or share a right-of-way with operating facilities, the CER defines this process as decommissioning. As operations will be permanently ceased and service will be discontinued on these facilities, NGTL will file a Section 45.1 application, pursuant to the Canadian Energy Regulator Onshore Pipeline Regulations, for the facilities in the second quarter of 2023. Please view the Decommissioning fact sheet for more information.
