Unlocking Mexico's Social and Economic Progress with the Southeast Gateway Pipeline Project

We are standing up for our project – Southeast Gateway – and for the many dedicated people in Mexico working to advance it; our strategic partner and customer, the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE); and for the future of Mexico.

Contrary to misleading claims made by Greenpeace, our project will not cross any living coral reefs.

We believe in evidence, and science-based decision-making. We have invested more than $50-million USD and spent over a year studying the marine environment with a team of world-class environment experts to make sure of this. This marine project route is one of the most extensively studied routes in the world.

Greenpeace's efforts to close the door or disrupt the process of progress in Mexico are misguided.

Southeast Gateway was initiated by Mexico, for Mexico. The majority of people working on the project today are Mexicans, who care for their sea, their climate and their future, and agree that a project like this, with a strong sense of environmental care at its core, will benefit them and their families for many generations.

Together, TC Energy and CFE are bringing cleaner, more sustainable energy that Mexico needs now and in the future.
