Valhalla North and Berland River projects now in service
Investing in the NGTL System to meet growing energy demand
TC Energy has placed the Valhalla North and Berland River projects into service, marking another milestone in the company's continued investment in Alberta's natural gas infrastructure.
Together, the projects represent a $500 million investment in the NGTL System and support growing natural gas production from the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (WCSB).
Located northwest of Grande Prairie and Edson, the projects add 33 kilometres of new pipeline and a 30-megawatt electric powered compressor station, delivering approximately 400 MMcf/d of incremental capacity while enhancing system reliability.
These projects are part of the approximately $15 billion TC Energy has invested in the NGTL System over the past decade to expand capacity, strengthen reliability and connect growing natural gas supplies to customers and markets across North America.

- 775 jobs created at peak construction, including nearly 100 Indigenous employees and contractors.
