TC Energy Focused on Meeting Generational Demand
It will take customers, governments and communities working together.

We’re seeing generational demand across our systems—driven by rising power demand, industrial development and LNG growth. The fact of the matter is natural gas demand is growing faster than infrastructure can be built.
TC Energy has invested more than anyone to grow the natural gas transmission system in Alberta. We’ve invested over $15 billion in the last decade alone on expansion projects. We are continuing to grow the system today with more than a billion dollars of sanctioned projects that will add additional capacity for our customers and Albertans.
TC Energy is proud to transport over 75 per cent of natural gas produced from the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin enabled through a demonstrated track record of investment in NGTL over decades. There are numerous benefits of a highly utilized integrated NGTL system, including lower gas transportation costs for our customers, flexibility to move gas where it is needed over 24,000 kilometres of pipelines, strong system reliability and efficient infrastructure development. These are benefits for our customers in Alberta, in Canada and beyond.
TC Energy is prepared to keep investing in NGTL and expand the system to meet the scale of opportunity in front of Alberta and Canada. This will require all of us—industry, customers, regulators, governments, stakeholders and rightsholders—to come to the table and improve the conditions to get infrastructure built.
The key is working together to bring forward credible solutions, capital and capacity quickly enough to support Alberta’s growth and enable Canada to unlock the opportunity to meet the moment.
