Located in British Columbia’s Peace River Regional District, the North Montney Mainline (NMML) provides the critical natural gas transmission infrastructure required to connect natural gas producers and downstream markets throughout Canada and the United States, generating tax revenues for hospitals, schools and more in some of B.C.’s more remote communities.

The Gas Transmission Northwest XPress Project (GTNXP) is designed to upgrade our system to meet increased demands from our customers in the region, providing the reliable energy to communities throughout the Western U.S. in a safe, responsible, and reliable manner. Gas Transmission Northwest, an interstate natural gas pipeline owned and operated by TC Energy, filed an application before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in October 2021. NGTL is permanently ceasing operations at 21 laterals and three meter stations on the NGTL System within Alberta as these facilities are no longer necessary to provide service to customers.
