The power purchase agreement highlights TC Energy’s efforts to solve complex energy problems by developing a first-of-its-kind product to supply carbon-free energy round-the-clock.

The 305-mile (491-km) Tuscarora Gas Transmission System delivers natural gas from the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin, the Rocky Mountains and other US basins to communities in California and Nevada. 

Gas Transmission Northwest (GTN) is a 1,377-mile (2,216-km) pipeline system that transports Canadian natural gas to communities in Washington, Idaho, Oregon and California.

CALGARY, Alberta, May 01, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — TC Energy Corporation released its first quarter results today. François Poirier, TC Energy’s President and Chief Executive Officer commented, "As natural gas and electricity are forecasted to drive the majority of growth in final energy consumption through 2035, we are pleased to announce two new growth projects that represent strategic investments in North America’s energy future.

TC Energy is constructing and will own and operate four separate projects as part of the West Path Delivery Program located within Alberta and British Columbia. These projects are necessary to supply growing demand in southwest Alberta, southern B.C. and downstream North American markets for natural gas produced in Western Canada.

Following the House of Commons passing Bill C-5, including the Building Canada Act, TC Energy President and CEO François Poirier shared a statement.
