Francis Robichaux has almost four and a half decades of experience in the energy industry, yet he still welcomes the new challenges that each day may present as a learning opportunity. With a mind on safety and helping to develop the skills of his co-workers, it’s sometimes hard for him to believe how much has changed since that day in 1976 when he first embarked on a journey that has turned into a successful career.

In recognition of International Women’s Day, we’re having discussions about unconscious biases in the workplace across the company this week. Wendy Straatmann, vice-president, Technical Services, U.S. Gas Operations, is one leader who understands how our unconscious biases can inadvertently affect our behaviours in the workplace and is an advocate for becoming more aware of the unconscious biases we all hold.

TransCanada today announced its Sundre Crossover Project has been placed into service in central Alberta, increasing the company’s capacity to transport natural gas on TransCanada’s NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. TransCanada’s shareholders will be asked to approve a special resolution to change the name at the company’s next Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders.
