The Towerbirch pipeline project will include 55 km of 36-inch pipeline paralleling the existing NGTL Groundbirch Mainline, along with new meter stations, and expansion of one meter station. The majority of this projects scope will be within British Comumbia, with only a portion in Alberta.

The Foothills System is a 1,241 km (771 mile) long network of pipelines comprising the Foothills B.C. and Foothills Saskatchewan lines.

With four congenerating plants in Alberta, TransCanada manages, operates and markets close to 450 megawatts (MW) of electricity. Alberta Power Marketing offers wholesale power for a range of industries, including agriculture, oil and gas, commercial real estate, large scale commercial and industrial, public institutions and brokers and consultants.

With this project, 2.9 miles (4.7 km) will be built along with two compressor stations and replacement of 26 miles (41.8) of existing pipeline. The changes will increase capacity by 1.3 billion cubic feet per day.

Bear Creek is an industrial cogeneration plant situated on International Paper Grande Prairie pulp mill and Weyerhaeuser saw mill complex. The power plant is configured around a 58 MW natural gas fired turbine.

Prince Rupert Gas Transmission is a proposed 900 km (559 mile) pipeline that will deliver natural gas from a point near Hudson’s Hope to the Pacific NorthWest LNG Facility near Prince Rupert, B.C., Canada.

A multi-year effort to expand the NGTL and Foothills systems has seen the in-service of several projects over the past few months, furthering North American energy security, boosting local economies and providing customers with additional market access.
