TransCanada Announces $1.5 Billion NGTL System Expansion to Connect WCSB Supply to Incremental Market Demand

TransCanada Corporation announced today that it will move forward with a proposed $140-million expansion of its NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. (NGTL) System following the successful completion in March of an expansion capacity open season for incremental firm export delivery service at the Empress/McNeill Export Delivery Point.

(NGTL), has filed an application with the National Energy Board for approval of a negotiated settlement with its customers and other interested parties on the annual costs required to operate the NGTL System for 2018 and 2019.
