As COVID-19 grinds the world to a standstill, the majority of our workforce is adjusting to working from home, and acclimating to our new but temporary reality can prove to be difficult at the best of times. With an added twist, many schools and childcare facilities across North America have shut down in an effort to flatten the curve and reduce the spread of the virus – leaving many of our team members balancing childcare and day-to-day work tasks.

As part of promoting a healthy lifestyle, TransCanada teamed up with West Virginia University’s (WVU) Extension Services Family Nutrition Program to provide children throughout the state access to locally farmed produce free of cost through West Virginia’s Kids Farmers Market Program.

TransCanada Corporation announced its intention to change its name to TC Energy to better reflect the scope of the company’s operations as a leading North American energy infrastructure company. TransCanada’s shareholders will be asked to approve a special resolution to change the name at the company’s next Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders.

The horizontal directional drilling (HDD) the Northern Courier Project completed under the Athabasca River in Alberta, Canada, turned out to be the longest 42-inch-wide HDD completed in North America to date at 2,195 metres (7,200 feet), in order to install the pipeline 70 metres below the riverbed.

For close to 50 years, Canadians have recognized Environment Week across the country.
