News Release — TC Energy Corporation (TSX, NYSE: TRP) (TC Energy) will begin pre-construction activities of the Saddlebrook Solar Project located near Aldersyde, Alberta. TC Energy is investing $146 million to build its first Canadian solar power project. It has the capacity to generate 81 megawatts, enough energy to power 20,000 homes annually. The Project will include the construction of approximately 4 kilometres (km) of pipe 324 millimeters in diameter for transporting natural gas. It will parallel the existing Canadian Mainline, and will start at the Saint-Sébastien Meter Station near route 133 and end at a new proposed valve and receiver site in the municipality of Pike River, near Chemin Molleur.

TC Energy announced an expansion to our extensive NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. (NGTL) System will deliver more natural gas from the prolific WCSB to markets within Alberta, while an expansion to our ANR Pipeline (ANR) will provide a seamless path for Canadian production to access growing Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) export and other markets along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
