Natural Gas is a critical component of any strategy to meet North America’s long-term energy needs and has contributed to reduced greenhouse gas emissions across the continent. The Gas Transmission Northwest XPress Project (GTNXP) is designed to upgrade our system to meet increased demands from our customers in the region, providing the reliable energy to communities throughout the Western U.S. in a safe, responsible, and reliable manner. Gas Transmission Northwest, an interstate natural gas pipeline owned and operated by TC Energy, filed an application before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in October 2021. The Southeast Gateway Pipeline, developed through a strategic partnership between CFE and TC Energy, transports reliable and efficient natural gas, strengthening energy security and supporting industrial growth in southeastern Mexico.

NGTL GP is proposing to decommission 11 laterals or loops and one co-located meter station on the NGTL System as these assets are no longer required to meet customer demand.

The Project will include the construction of approximately 4 kilometres (km) of pipe 324 millimeters in diameter for transporting natural gas. It will parallel the existing Canadian Mainline, and will start at the Saint-Sébastien Meter Station near route 133 and end at a new proposed valve and receiver site in the municipality of Pike River, near Chemin Molleur.
