TC Energy announced an expansion to our extensive NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. (NGTL) System will deliver more natural gas from the prolific WCSB to markets within Alberta, while an expansion to our ANR Pipeline (ANR) will provide a seamless path for Canadian production to access growing Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) export and other markets along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
The system includes a 416 mile (669 km) interstate natural gas pipeline that extends from the Canadian border at Waddington, New York, onward through New York State and western Connecticut, finally reaching its end point in the Bronx, New York.
The Line 8000 Replacement Project, part of TransCanada’s Columbia Gas Transmission Modernization Program, will replace approximately 13 miles (21 km) of existing 12-inch-diameter bare steel pipeline with new coated steel pipeline.

NGTL is proposing to permanently cease operations at 28 meter stations and 31 lateral pipelines, loops and/or producer tie-ins on the NGTL System within Alberta as these facilities are no longer necessary to provide service to customers.
