Prince Rupert Gas Transmission is a proposed 900 km (559 mile) pipeline that will deliver natural gas from a point near Hudson’s Hope to the Pacific NorthWest LNG Facility near Prince Rupert, B.C., Canada.

Coastal GasLink implemented a unique program within its workforce lodges known as the Community Workforce Accommodation Advisor (CWAA) Program. The program is being rolled out in Coastal GasLink’s workforce lodges, and is employing members from neighbouring Indigenous communities to lead programming that promotes inclusion and fosters a deeper understanding of the rich cultures and traditions of Indigenous communities.

Through Empower, our workforce giving program, we support and encourage our workforce to give back to their communities in ways that resonate with them personally, through fundraising, donating, volunteering, or even simple acts of kindness that help make the world a better place. In early February, the temperature in the northeastern town of Dawson Creek, B.C., dipped below -30 C. It stayed dangerously cold for several days – too cold for the Dawson Creek Girl Guides to be out knocking on doors, trying to sell cookies.

Before construction of TC Energy’s recently completed Mountaineer XPress (MXP) natural gas infrastructure project, the project team spent countless hours identifying environmentally sensitive areas and modifying the route, in addition to developing construction techniques to minimize environmental disturbances. But once construction began, the team was presented with a unique challenge that showed no creature is too small when it comes to protecting wildlife.
