TC Energy Corporation today announced net income attributable to common shares for second quarter 2019 of $1.1 billion or $1.21 per share compared to net income of $785 million or $0.88 per share for the same period in 2018.

The Monongahela National Forest - one of the most biologically diverse national forests in the U.S. – also happens to be along the pathway of the WB XPress natural gas pipeline, which was placed into service last month. Work on the WBX included upgrading and enhancing an existing TransCanada pipeline system that has been safely serving customers for over 60 years. For nearly four years, TransCanada worked closely with various MNF resource specialists, including soil scientists, wildlife biologists, hydrologists, aquatic biologists, and botanists during the planning, permitting and construction phases of the project.

The TC Energy network has wide reach and geographic diversity in North America, including pipelines, power generation and plans for new investments.

On June 28, Minnkota Power Cooperative outlined how an agreement with TC Energy will move Project Tundra into its final stage of project development. Tundra will represent TC Energy’s first carbon capture and sequestration project in the U.S. and will capture up to approximately 4 million tons of CO2 per annum from Minnkota’s Milton R. Young Station in North Dakota.
