The map depicts where Columbia Gulf Transmission gathers gas in the Gulf of Mexico and brings it to Columbia Gas Transmission. It is one of the principal interstate pipelines running in the western segment of the Southwest-to-Northeast corridor for gas supply.

The Towerbirch pipeline project will include 55 km of 36-inch pipeline paralleling the existing NGTL Groundbirch Mainline, along with new meter stations, and expansion of one meter station. The majority of this projects scope will be within British Comumbia, with only a portion in Alberta.

TransCanada Corporation announced today that it will move forward with a $2.4-billion expansion of its NGTL System to connect incremental supply and expand basin export capacity by one billion cubic feet of natural gas per day (Bcf/d) at the interconnection with its Canadian Mainline.
