When we think about safety and health, the first thing that comes to mind is our physical well-being, but our mental health is equally as important. Just like our bodies need exercise and a good diet to remain strong, our minds need stimulation and rest to stay healthy and alert. This is true under any circumstances but right now, as the world faces a global pandemic and we’re exposed to heightened levels of uncertainty, it is more important than ever that we pay attention to our mental health and be aware of how it can impact other areas of our life.

We congratulate Canadian Indigenous leaders for securing a landmark Indigenous Loan Guarantee Program with the federal government. The program promotes self-determination and unprecedented opportunities for Indigenous ownership in energy projects. Today’s announcement recognizes the vital role Indigenous Peoples play in Canada’s energy resource economy.
The Alberta Carbon Grid (ACG) is a carbon transportation system reaching the province’s largest sources of industrial emissions. Designed to be an open-access system, the ACG will serve as the backbone of Alberta’s emerging carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS) industry, connecting the Fort McMurray region, the Alberta Industrial Heartland, and the Drayton Valley region to key sequestration locations and delivery points across the province, and serving multiple industries. When fully constructed, the system will be capable of transporting more than 20 million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) annually.
Natural Gas is a critical component of any strategy to meet North America’s long-term energy needs and has contributed to reduced greenhouse gas emissions across the continent. The Gas Transmission Northwest XPress Project (GTNXP) is designed to upgrade our system to meet increased demands from our customers in the region, providing the reliable energy to communities throughout the Western U.S. in a safe, responsible, and reliable manner. Gas Transmission Northwest, an interstate natural gas pipeline owned and operated by TC Energy, filed an application before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in October 2021. Further information regarding GTNXP may be found in a copy of the application filed with FERC.
TC Energy’s mandate is to safely deliver the energy the world needs in an economically, environmentally and socially responsible manner.
