Washington, D.C. — TC Energy released the following statement after the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved, with bipartisan support, the GTN XPress Project.

The Project will include the construction of approximately 4 kilometres (km) of pipe 324 millimeters in diameter for transporting natural gas. It will parallel the existing Canadian Mainline, and will start at the Saint-Sébastien Meter Station near route 133 and end at a new proposed valve and receiver site in the municipality of Pike River, near Chemin Molleur.

The Tula - Villa de Reyes (TVDR) Project stretches over 420 km in the heartland of Mexico, including mountain ranges and several river crossings, which have put to test not only the technical skills, but also the safety procedures of both TC Energía and our contractors. The system includes a 416 mile (669 km) interstate natural gas pipeline that extends from the Canadian border at Waddington, New York, onward through New York State and western Connecticut, finally reaching its end point in the Bronx, New York.
