TC Energy’s Virginia Reliability Project (VRP) would replace an existing segment of the Columbia Gas Transmission (TCO) Pipeline System to ensure reliable and abundant natural gas supply. TCO has been providing energy to the Hampton Roads region for more than 70 years, and as demand for natural gas rises across the region, these important updates will improve natural gas reliability and help meet the current and future needs of the Hampton Roads region.

TransCanada today announced its Sundre Crossover Project has been placed into service in central Alberta, increasing the company’s capacity to transport natural gas on TransCanada’s NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. (NGTL) System to downstream pipelines and key markets in the Pacific Northwest and California.

The U.S. draws from a variety of energy sources to support its population of roughly 330 million people. Prominent in that energy mix is natural gas, thanks to its local abundance, affordability, reliability and lower emissions compared with other hydrocarbons.
