Stretching 305 miles (491 km) from Oregon across California and into Nevada, the Tuscarora pipeline delivers natural gas from the Western Canada Sedimentary Supply, the Rocky Mountains and US basins to communities in California and Nevada.

The Towerbirch pipeline project will include 55 km of 36-inch pipeline paralleling the existing NGTL Groundbirch Mainline, along with new meter stations, and expansion of one meter station. The majority of this projects scope will be within British Comumbia, with only a portion in Alberta.

A multi-year effort to expand the NGTL and Foothills systems has seen the in-service of several projects over the past few months, furthering North American energy security, boosting local economies and providing customers with additional market access.

TransCanada Corporation today announced that it has launched a new Open Season on its NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. (NGTL) System for binding expansion capacity commitments at the Empress/McNeill Export Delivery Point.
