News Release — TC Energy Corporation (TSX, NYSE: TRP) (TC Energy) will begin pre-construction activities of the Saddlebrook Solar Project located near Aldersyde, Alberta. TC Energy is investing $146 million to build its first Canadian solar power project. It has the capacity to generate 81 megawatts, enough energy to power 20,000 homes annually. The initial construction includes installing solar panels on TC Energy property in the local industrial park.
In accordance with Certificate Condition 6 and Order Condition 7, NGTL encloses Commitment Tracking Table No. 8 for the Project. The reporting period for this submission is September 1, 2017 to 28, 2017.
The horizontal directional drilling (HDD) the Northern Courier Project completed under the Athabasca River in Alberta, Canada, turned out to be the longest 42-inch-wide HDD completed in North America to date at 2,195 metres (7,200 feet), in order to install the pipeline 70 metres below the riverbed.
