TC Energy Corporation (TSX, NYSE: TRP) (TC Energy) announced today that it has entered into an agreement to sell an 85 per cent equity interest in Northern Courier Pipeline to Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo).

This pipeline expansion project in western Alberta expanded pipeline capacity for the transportation of natural gas to growing markets located in central and southern Alberta from the Peace River Project Area.

The Coastal GasLink natural gas pipeline project will run approximately 670 km (416 miles) in length from Dawson Creek to a facility near Kitimat, B.C.

TC Energy Corporation today announced Russ Girling’s retirement as President and Chief Executive Officer and from its Board of Directors effective December 31, 2020. François Poirier, currently Chief Operating Officer, President, Power & Storage and Mexico, will succeed Mr. Girling as President and Chief Executive Officer and will join the Board January 1, 2021.
