We can confirm there was an incident at the construction site on the Northwest Mainline (NWML) Loop No. 2 Bear Canyon North Extension section of the North Corridor Expansion Project, near Fairview, Alta. on Aug. 26, 2022. A worker was performing planned construction activities on site and suffered a non-life-threatening injury. Our emergency procedures were activated and work on-site was immediately suspended. Emergency crews transported the worker by ambulance to the nearest hospital.
TransCanada announced that its Keystone Pipeline repair and restart plans have been reviewed by the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) with no objections, permitting a safe and controlled return to service of the Keystone System.
