We can confirm there was an incident at the construction site on the Northwest Mainline (NWML) Loop No. 2 Bear Canyon North Extension section of the North Corridor Expansion Project, near Fairview, Alta. on Aug. 26, 2022. A worker was performing planned construction activities on site and suffered a non-life-threatening injury. Our emergency procedures were activated and work on-site was immediately suspended. Emergency crews transported the worker by ambulance to the nearest hospital.

In August, Avery Foret wrapped up the final weeks of her 16-month field engineering internship in Crossfield, AB. Now, she is back on campus at the University of Calgary to complete her mechanical engineering degree with a new perspective on the ‘real-world’ application of her studies.
