François Poirier

Mr. Poirier has been President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) since January 2021. He joined the company in 2014 as President, Energy East Pipeline and has held several roles within the company since, including the role of Chief Operating Officer and President, Power & Storage, prior to being appointed as CEO.
In his role as CEO, Mr. Poirier oversaw the spinoff of TC Energy’s Liquids Pipelines business, advanced major energy projects such as Southeast Gateway and Coastal GasLink and has championed initiatives such as the Build Canada Now letter, which sought regulatory change to unlock Canada’s energy potential and economic sovereignty.
Before joining TC Energy, Mr. Poirier spent 25 years in investment banking, consulting and as a corporate director. Since 2024, Mr. Poirier has served as a corporate director of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. He is also a director of both the Business Council of Canada and the American Petroleum Institute, roles he has held since January 2021.
Mr. Poirier was named Business Leader of the Year for 2026 by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. He also served as co-chair of the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games 2024.
Mr. Poirier holds a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Operations Research from the University of Ottawa.

As Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer, Natural Gas Pipelines, Mrs. Faraca provides strategic leadership for all commercial, operational, safety & technical services, and project execution aspects of TC Energy’s natural gas transmission and storage businesses across Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
Before her current appointment, Mrs. Faraca served as Executive Vice-President and President of U.S. Natural Gas Pipelines, and prior to that, held the position of Senior Vice-President of Operations, Projects and Technical Services for the U.S. regulated natural gas transmission and storage business. Mrs. Faraca joined TC Energy in April 2020 as Senior Vice-President of Commercial, U.S. Natural Gas Pipelines.
Before joining TC Energy, Mrs. Faraca served as the Chief Commercial Officer at Enable Midstream Partners, responsible for the natural gas transportation and storage, natural gas gathering and processing, and crude oil businesses. Her career also includes 18 years at Spectra Energy, the predecessor to Enbridge, where she held various senior leadership positions, including Vice-President of Engineering and Construction, Vice-President of Corporate Strategy, and President of Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline.
Mrs. Faraca currently serves as an Independent Director at UGI Corporation and is on the non-profit Board of Directors for GTI Energy, United Way of Greater Houston and Strake Jesuit College Preparatory. She has also served on numerous industry boards, including the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA). Mrs. Faraca holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado.

President, U.S. Natural Gas Pipelines
As President, U.S. Natural Gas Pipelines, Mr. Brast is responsible for all regulatory, commercial and operational matters across the company’s U.S. regulated natural gas transmission and storage business. He is based in Houston, Texas.
Mr. Brast joined TC Energy in August 2022 as Senior Vice-President, Commercial, USNG, where he led the U.S. Natural Gas pipeline system’s Commercial division, including Commercial Operations, Business Development, Marketing, Rates & Regulatory, Strategy and Joint Ventures.
Mr. Brast’s diverse background includes extensive global experience across the energy industry in origination, trading, operations, retail energy, renewables and risk management. Before joining TC Energy, Mr. Brast held the position of Senior Vice-President of North America Power and Gas at Direct Energy, a subsidiary of NRG Energy. Previously, Mr. Brast served as Head of the West Region and led the strategic turnaround of Direct Energy’s Canadian business.
Prior to joining Direct Energy, Mr. Brast served as Senior Vice-President, Business Segments for NRG Energy, where he led commercial, large industrial and small business retail electricity sales across Texas and the Northeast. He also served as Senior Vice-President, Commercial Operations at Reliant Energy, where he was responsible for all commercial activities for the 14,600 MW generation fleet. Prior to Reliant, Mr. Brast held various commercial and risk management roles at Enron.

Senior Vice-President, External Relations
As Senior Vice-President, External Relations, Mr. Muttart provides strategic and functional leadership for the Company’s public policy, government relations, communications and Indigenous relations activities.
Before joining TC Energy, Mr. Muttart spent a decade leading external affairs and communications teams for Philip Morris International in London, Manila, Melbourne and Hong Kong. Prior to this, he was a Managing Director at Mercury, a public strategy firm, in Chicago. Earlier in his career, he served as Deputy Chief of Staff to former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
Mr. Muttart holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from the University of Ottawa.
