Maysville Project
A proposed natural Gas project
Connecting to virtually every major pipeline in the U.S. Gulf Coast and additional Midwestern lines, TC Energy’s Columbia Gulf Transmission System (CGT) ensures energy reaches where it’s needed most, adapting to evolving energy demands and shifting environmental priorities.
To help ensure continued reliable energy for the region, TC Energy is proposing the Maysville Project, which is designed to supply natural gas to support East Kentucky Power Cooperative’s planned co-firing project at Spurlock Power Station. The project is expected to enhance the reliability of Kentucky’s power grid and contribute to regional economic development and support growth in the region.
The proposed Project will include the construction of approximately 42-miles of pipeline beginning at the existing CGT Main Line System in Rowan County and continuing through Fleming and Mason Counties in Kentucky, as well as installation of a new delivery meter station and interconnect with Spurlock Power Station in Maysville. Upon completion, the Project will provide transportation capacity to EKPC, helping to ensure a reliable and cost-effective energy supply for Kentucky and support the regional electric grid, improving system stability and resilience during extreme weather events while also strengthening reliability for local communities and businesses.
