In early May, TC Energy successfully completed pipeline construction on the 1.4 mile (2.2 km) border crossing in Montana. More than 100 men and women were employed at the peak of construction and a small crew remains on site to complete reclamation and remediation activities.
During these challenging times, with local charities under stress, Keystone XL is working with the City of Glasgow and Valley County in Montana to help put together baskets of essential items for those in need. The $20,000 donation in Montana is part of our long history of partnering with local communities along the route in both Canada and the U.S., whether it’s helping to combat childhood hunger in Montana or upgrading communication equipment for first responders in Alberta.
Today, the North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU), the American Petroleum Institute (API) and the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA) issued the following statement in response to the April 15 decision by a Federal judge in the District Court of Montana that vacated the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers issuance of a Nationwide Permit 12 for the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline project.
