Code of Business Ethics

TC Energy’s corporate values of safety, innovation, responsibility, collaboration and integrity, form the foundation of how we do business. The Code of Business Ethics Policy reinforces behavioral requirements and expectations and provides guidance to ensure our daily business activities and decisions are consistent with our values. Doing business ethically, fairly and responsibly is not just a concept at TC Energy, it is a commitment we make every day.

The Code of Business Ethics Policy functions in conjunction with our other policies and applies to all employees, directors, officers and contingent workforce contractors and TC Energy’s wholly-owned subsidiaries and/or operated entities in all countries in which we conduct business. In addition, TC Energy has a Contractor Code of Business Ethics (COBE) Policy that communicates the same requirements as in the Code of Business Ethics Policy, where applicable.

Ethics Help Line

TC Energy’s Ethics Help Line is a confidential platform, established by the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and operated by an external provider. The Ethics Help Line allows employees, contractors, consultants, other stakeholders and the general public to report a concern about any perceived accounting irregularities, legal or ethical violations, harassment or other suspected breaches of the Code of Business Ethics by calling the toll-free Ethics Help Line or by submitting a report online.  

TC Energy’s Ethics Help Line is a safe, secure and confidential helpline system, operated by an external ethics support provider that:​

  • Is easy to use and allows you to file anonymous reports
  • Operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with English, French or Spanish speaking agents​
  • Allows you to follow up on your report. Remember to save your key code. ​

All information submitted is confidential and is investigated promptly by a qualified investigator.
